Boost Your ACCUPLACER Scores and Prepare for Automotive and Railroad Engineering Programs

Share

Incoming students for the Railroad Engineering AS degree; General Automotive (Certificate or A.A.S. degree); General Motors-ASEP & AC DELCO-TSEP (A.A.S. degree); or Alternative Energy Transportation certificate programs may participate in Gateway’s Resource, Education and Training (GREAT) Center’s Academic Skills Refresher “boot camp,” from July 8 to July 25, Mon-Thurs, 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

This program is offered exclusively to incoming Automotive or Railroad Engineering students. Spend three weeks this summer at Gateway’s new downtown campus working with others in these programs and get help from experienced subject matter “coaches.” After boot camp, the college placement ACCUPLACER will be scheduled for the group. Students may attend boot camp before taking ACCUPLACER or re-test if they already have a score on record as part of the application process. Higher scores may help eliminate the need for pre-requisite developmental classes! Sharper skills will lead to better academic performance.

Boot camp is offered at no cost to the student and is sponsored by the CT Manufacturing, Energy and Transportation Initiative. For more info, click here.

Registration is required. Please call The GREAT Center at 203-285-2300
