GCC Student, Abdur Wali, Joins Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro's Staff

Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) announced that GCC grad, Abdur Wali has joined her staff as a Congressional Aide Caseworker focusing on housing, mortgages, financial services, USPS, utilities, agriculture, and the environment. He will work in the Congresswoman's New Haven office.
The Congresswoman expressed her delight stating that Wali would be "a valuable asset for the people of Connecticut's Third District."
Wali, a father of three, graduated this year from Gateway Community College. While at Gateway, he served as president of the Student Government Association, president of the Black Student Association, head coach of the intramural soccer and volleyball teams, and represented Gateway at the White House Summit on Educational Excellence for African Americans. Wali grew up in New Haven and graduated from Hill Regional Career High School.
