GCC Student Activities: There’s an App for that

Share

The Gateway Community College Student Activities Center has released a unique application specifically for students. The mobile application, powered by Guidebook, debuted fall semester. The app has proved to be a tremendous resource for students, especially for new students and those involved in clubs and organizations on campus. According to GCC Student Activities Director Roberta Prior, “…there were over 4,300 hits during the two weeks following the first day of NSO. That is pretty exciting!”

The application is universal and free. It can be downloaded onto iOS devices as well as Android. It was designed primarily for student organizations and New Student Orientation but there are quick links and department links which can be readily accessed and are beneficial to all students. Some features of the application include a community calendar of events, a directory of student organizations and its members, a campus map and a GCC news feed and links to GCC social media accounts.

The app is invaluable for those who seek further knowledge about the GCC student life community and wish to connect with other students on campus. The app puts information literally in the palm of your hand. From student and community news, events on campus and school closing and delays due to inclement weather, the GCC Student Activities App has you covered.

To download, search for Gateway CC Activities in the app store and remember, it’s free!
