GCC Walks Against Hunger
Share
On Sunday, April 29 the GCC Walk Against Hunger Team, which included faculty, staff, family members and students from Gateway Community College (GCC), walked in this year’s Connecticut Food Bank’s Greater New Haven Walk Against Hunger. The GCC team was led by Co-Captains Teresa Russo (Professor of Psychology and Coordinator, General Studies A.S. Program) and Kim Shea (Humanities Professor and Program Coordinator).
Walk Against Hunger helps the CT Food Bank provide meals to people in need across the state. More than 650 local food assistance programs rely on the CT Food Bank to provide food to serve their community and, through this network, enough food is distributed to make 50,000 meals a day.
