Open houses offer prospective students and their families an opportunity to get to know more about the academic community, campus, and programs.  No RSVP is necessary.  Bring a friend!

GCC offers a broad range of courses in liberal arts and sciences, technical, career associate degree and certificate programs, and courses leading to transfer, employment, and lifelong learning.  Student success is supported through stimulating learning opportunities, innovative teaching, support services, and co-curricular activities.  The campus also serves local businesses and the workforce through the GREAT Center, Gateway’s Resource Education and Training Center, which provides classrooms and labs for customized training programs to meet the needs of the region.

Situated in a historic college town, GCC’s convenient location in downtown New Haven puts students within walking distance of a wide variety of museums, shops and theaters.  Also nearby are amazing restaurants, renowned pizza, and international cuisine.  In New Haven, students have access to exciting events, such as the International Festival of Arts & Ideas.

The Gateway Garage and Temple Street Garage offer free parking.  For those traveling by public transportation, Gateway is within easy walking distance from Union Station with access to Amtrak.  A free shuttle from Union Station is available.  GCC is within a quarter mile of multiple bus stops.  Secure bike racks are located within the Gateway Garage, which is located on Crown Street.

At the Open House, students can:
