Katie Delahaye Paine to Speak About Your “Kick Butt” Index On Jan. 22

Public Relations Society of America, PRSA, Southern CT chapter, will host a media monitoring seminar with Katie Delahaye Paine, chief executive officer and founder of KDPaine & Partners, LLC, who will speak on "Measure What Matters: monitoring and measurement in the new media world", on Thursday, January 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Gateway Community College’s Library and Learning Commons multipurpose room, S217.
 
Measure What Matters will include “everything you need to know about Measurement Standards including what they are, why you need them and how to influence them,” said Paine. “I’ll show you how to define your customized ‘kick butt’ index and how to align departmental goals with measurable objectives and benchmarks.” The seminar will also discuss appropriate measurement tools and what to do with data once you have it.  
 
Paine is an innovator in the field of measurement. She founded two measurement companies, KDPaine & Partners Inc. and the Delahaye Group, and has authored three innovative books on measurement, most recently, “Measuring the Networked Nonprofit, Using Data to Change the World”, co-authored with Beth Kanter, which won the  2013 Terry McAdam Book Award. She also writes Paine Publishing, the first blog and newsletter dedicated entirely to measurement and accountability. In the last two decades, Paine and her firm have listened to millions of conversations, analyzed thousands of articles and asked hundreds of question in order to help clients better understand their relationships with their constituencies.
