CT Parent Power Honors GCC President Kendrick as Red Carpet Hero

One of Connecticut’s largest parent volunteer organizations, Connecticut Parent Power, will honor Gateway Community College President, Dorsey L. Kendrick at the fourth annual Red Carpet Gala on Friday, September 16.
Connecticut Parent Power honors Kendrick as an “extra-ordinary leader with integrity and unwavering commitment to co-create a world, not as it is, but as it should be: equitable for all!” The state-wide, parent led organization recognizes its honorees for their “commitment to building foundational strengths in our communities for all children, parents and their families.”
Connecticut Parent Power “fosters engagement, education, and mobilization of diverse parents and partners who are passionate about children’s issues.” They work with stakeholders who work hand-in-hand to end poverty and racism and improve health, safety, equity and wellness for all children through collective action, focusing on “cradle to career”.
The Connecticut Parent Power – 4th annual Red Carpet Hero Award Gala takes place at 6:00 p.m. on September 16 at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel, 275 Research Parkway, Meriden, Connecticut
