Gateway Community College (GCC) will offer “Creating a Web Presence for Your Business,”  a three-night seminar starting Monday, Nov. 15, at its North Haven campus, located at 88 Bassett Road.

The seminar will be held Nov. 15, Nov. 22 and Nov. 29 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Cost is $99.

Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals involved in creating a web presence for their business, including how to register a domain name, making a site visible to search engines, incorporating PDFs, embedding streaming video like YouTube, and creating blogs to showcase a business or expertise.

Instructor Don Berry has more than a decade of experience working with a variety of Internet technologies. "In today’s marketplace, it’s mandatory to have a presence on the web; it’s even more important than a phone number,” Berry said. “This seminar will address all of the essentials needed to represent your company or yourself on the web."
