Gateway Community College is pleased to announce that Dan Fuller has been appointed Chair of the college’s Automotive Department. Fuller, who was an associate professor and program coordinator for the General Motors program at GCC, looks forward to working with his colleagues to enhance the college’s automotive offerings.
For the past several years, Gateway’s automotive programs were housed under the college’s Engineering Technologies division. With Fuller’s appointment as Chair, the automotive department will operate as a separate department.
“We already have a great team of faculty and staff in our department, the new structure will allow us to grow and better serve our students and connect them with real careers right here in Connecticut,” says Fuller.
Dan Fuller is an alumni of Gateway CC (GNHSTC ’90) where he graduated from the GM ASEP AAS program. He received a BS from Excelsior College and attended Keller Graduate School of Management. He spent 20 years with General Motors Corporation as a Senior Staff Instructor, Regional Service Engineer, and finally Regional Technical Manager for the Northeastern US. During his GM career he earned numerous technical and leadership awards including the prestigious GM Chairman’s Honors, GM Employee Engagement, National Instructor’s Advisory Council, GM World Class Technician and GM Product Quality awards.
Fuller holds all 50 Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications and in 2012 was named ASE/Motor Age Magazine’s “Technician of the Year”.
