Gateway Community College's Lions opened the basketball season Nov. 10 with a double header against UCONN Avery Point at Groton.

The final score of the women’s game was GCC 51 / UCAP 65. Gateway’s Ava Harris ( right ) had 23 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Jasmin Rodriquez ( far right ) scored 15 point and grabbed 11 rebounds. Bob Doss is Head Coach. 

The final score of the men’s game was GCC 104 / UCAP 79. Gateway’s Danil Mateo shot 12 out of 19 from the floor and was 2 for 3 from the foul line to score 26 point along with 5 assists. Amos Ford shot 10 for 17 from the floor to score 21 points while grabbing 6 rebounds and blocking 2 shots. John Stewart is Head Coach.
